INET is conducted online at designated exam centres across India. Shortlisting is purely on INET merit.
Shortlisted INET candidates are called for PFT at designated Navy Recruiting Organisations (NROs).
PFT qualifiers undergo a thorough medical examination at a Navy Medical Centre. All stages are qualifying.
Final merit is based only on INET scores. PFT and Medical are qualifying/pass-fail. Original documents must match exactly with application details.

Top 25% performers based on merit, conduct, and medical fitness are considered for regular Indian Navy enrolment. Full career with pension, Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 base), promotion up to Petty Officer and beyond.

9🗓️ 90-Day Preparation Plan

Month 1 – Foundations: SSR candidates: start NCERT Physics & Chemistry (Class 11–12) — cover 2 chapters daily. Maths: R.S. Aggarwal Chapters 1–15 (Algebra, Trigonometry, Mensuration). MR candidates: focus on Maths (Class 10 NCERT) and GK (Lucent's). All streams: Wren & Martin English grammar basics + vocabulary (Word Power Made Easy). Run 800m daily.

Month 2 – Targeted Practice: Begin MCQ topic-practice with 50–80 questions per day across all subjects. For SSR: special focus on Physics formulas and numerical problems. For MR: daily GK capsule (30 points) + GK mock sections. Start timed tests for individual sections. Increase run to 1.6 km and start push-ups/squats.

Month 3 – Full Mock Tests: Solve 5 full-length INET mock tests per week. Analyse wrong answers per subject — create an error log. Target: clear each subject cut-off in every mock. Run 1.6 km under 7 minutes. Complete 20 squats and 10 push-ups without rest.

Final 2 Weeks – Revision & Rest: Stop new topics. Revise formula sheets, GK notes, and vocabulary lists. Take 2 mocks daily focusing on accuracy and time. Maintain physical fitness but avoid overexertion. Get adequate sleep — aim for 7+ hours in the last 3 days before the exam.
